Scopus training event: Mon 24th Nov, Brynmor Jones Library, Seminar room 1


“Scopus is the largest abstract and citation database of peer-reviewed literature and quality web sources with smart tools to track, analyze and visualize research.”

Scopus is currently subscribed to by the University of Hull Library for a one year period (and available via the HYMS Library tab).

What is Scopus? Interactive online demo including an example research
workflow, RSS feeds, alerting options, exporting and searching tips;

3.15pm - 4.00pm Scopus bibliometrics
How to use Scopus to analyse a specific author or institution’s performance
(useful for the upcoming REF); Introduction to the new Journal Analyzer;
Link with 2Collab (a free online bookmarking, reference manager &
collaboration tool); Questions.
